For over 40 years, Peck and Strong have been baking delicious cakes, flapjacks, brownies and treats by hand, in Devon for the wholesale market. From a kitchen table in a little cottage supplying Exeter University – we’ve grown a little bit since then and you can find our bakes all over the UK. Discretion reigns, but we are trusted suppliers to iconic custodians of historic places, universities, coffee shops, café’s, museums, theatres, restaurants, stately homes and everything else in between!

Peck and Strong make some deliveries locally but primarily we work with trusted partners across all of the UK to provide you with our delicious cakes. They are distributed via frozen transport and are specifically designed to make your life as straightforward as possible whilst giving your customers a generous, delicious treat. If you imagine how you might bake a cake at home, you’d find watching us in our bakery making our cakes and pies very familiar – Though our mixer might be a bit bigger. We cook and bake from the raw ingredients, weighing out by hand. We believe this ensures we bake the best possible cake we can that both eats beautifully and looks great too.

Yes our Brownies, Brownies with Walnuts, and Orange Lemon and Lime cake are all Gluten Free.

Our slices baked in trays are all portioned and just need finishing off before serving. Our round cakes and savoury products look far better displayed whole, as well as keeping better, so these come unportioned for you to cut. For our cakes this is best done with a knife, warmed in hot water to give the best finish.

We don’t make one off cakes or bespoke. We’ve been refining our recipes for decades and make cakes for the wholesale market. If you’re hosting a large event however and would like to use our cakes for the catering please get in touch.
