EXCEL-ling Ourselves?

(March 2016)

At the end of February for four days, we showed our wares at the two yearly HOTELYMPIA Show at London’s EXCEL Exhibition Centre.

Responses were emphatic once again, from a broad variety of visitors who were pleased to recognise our real points of difference.

The result was several weeks of busy follow-up and a fair number of additions to the Peck & Strong Fan Club!

Baking Brilliance for the
EMERALD ISLE

(February 2016)

Over the past couple or so years, we have been active over the water in the north of IRELAND to enable a supply of our products into the Republic as well.

With good Northern Ireland-based distribution in place now, it is very possible that Peck & Strong can be found in many parts of this charmed land.

In the Garden of EDEN

(June 2015)

Amid the green abundance that is The EDEN PROJECT, near St Austell in Cornwall, large quantities of Peck & Strong product are to be found at numerous serving points.

After years of painstakingly making all their own cakes on site, the decision was made to purchase a fair old number in. But the range selected had to adhere to the high ethical and quality standards expected by this great added value tourist location.

Peck & Strong – they tell us – is fitting the bill just perfectly!

A Roof-Top Eye on the Future

(October 2011)

Having completed the installation on the southern elevation, our massive 350 square foot roof of a 50KW PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM enables us to convert bright daylight (when we have it!) into our own electricity, with any power that we do not use being exported into the national grid.

So still doing everything we can think of to care for the environment…

Launch of new visual identity with branding, brochure & packaging

(June 2009)

With our original logo designed a long time ago, almost on the back of an envelope for a mere £25 by a friend in the pub, it was time in 2009 to do a more professional job and employ a DESIGN COMPANY. The result at the time having been, we hoped, an effective expression of our values and approach to what we do: care, attention to detail, distinctiveness and quirk!

Devon Secret Squirrel Food Producer Trades Up By Four Times

(March 2009)

Confounding the prevailing gloomy economic background, Exeter-based PECK & STRONG — ‘quiet’ producers since 1980 of a collection of no-nonsense sweet cakes and snacks and vegetarian savoury flans — moved to new purpose-designed production facilities nearly four times the size of its previous site.
